2006 ROT Biker Rally

last night keny and i went downtown to join in the festivities of the 2006 ROT Biker Rally. the rally is actually at the travis county expo center, i think, but they all paraded downtown to kick things off. we really went to see Vallejo but we just missed their show. we stayed downtown for a long time shooting pics. keny took some of these. they are kind of the first photos keny's gone out and tried to take. i think they rock. he took the first one. so, we wandered around. saw lots of biker boob. lots and lots of biker boob. and some neat bikes. i know absolutely nothing about motorcycles and honestly would never get on one but i can appreciate them i guess. i had a good time anyway and we got some alright pics.

sunday night we went to see jim's new band play their first gig. they played at Cabo Loco's out in Lago Vista. i guess it's a resort bar. there was a wedding going on above the bar and a birthday party going on outside. the adjacent hotel looked like a party hotel. it was cool. the band played mostly covers. stevie ray vaughn. austin type stuff. it was fun. it was weird. the crowd was made up of wedding goers, birthday attendants, bikers and tourists. i kind of felt like i was in florida or something. i guess because so many people were in their bathing suits.
